Lora Speers Therapy

Psychotherapist in Training

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly struggling, therapy can offer a space to pause and make sense of what’s going on. You may be navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, a painful life transition, or a sense that something isn’t quite right. I offer a supportive space where you can talk freely, feel listened to, and begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.

What kind of therapist am I?

At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. I believe that feeling genuinely seen, heard, and accepted within the therapeutic relationship is what allows meaningful growth and change to happen. Over time, therapy can help you notice and shift unhelpful patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, opening up new possibilities for how you live your life.

My approach

I believe there isn’t a ‘one-size-fits-all’ therapy so I adapt and respond to your individual needs in each session. Training in Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapy means I draw on a range of approaches, which may include talking therapy, body awareness, imagery, or exploring relational and family history. We work together at a pace that feels right, finding ways to make sense of your experiences and create meaningful change.

As a psychotherapist-in-training I have regular supervision and am deeply engaged in reflective practice, ensuring your therapy is held with care, strong ethics, and ongoing learning.

We meet weekly, in-person for 50 minutes, at my practice room in central Bath.

I offer both short- and long-term therapy to adults over 18 years old.

My experience

Alongside my private practice, I’m currently a therapist at Bath Children and Family Centre. I have experience working across a range of issues including parenting, relationships, identity, trauma, overwhelm, and life transitions.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I was a full-time parent for several years, and before that I worked in Higher Education, teaching and researching.

Where do I work?

I work from a cosy, quiet room at Wood Street Psychotherapy in central Bath. It’s a calm, welcoming space designed to feel safe and contained, where you can take time for yourself away from the demands of everyday life.

Fees

Weekly 50-minute sessions are currently £25.

I work on a low-cost basis and review my fees annually.
